Mrs Michelle Parry-Slater

  • Michelle has over 15 years’ experience largely in the Global Mobility sector, as a Senior Learning and Development business strategist & people manager, with proven results. She is a double award winning modern learning specialist with areas of interest including blended learning, social learning, digital learning, company culture and leadership.
  • Using her years of management experience alongside delivery of leadership programmes, Michelle brings a practical approach to writing and delivering leadership & management programmes which focus on strategy, culture and productivity.
  • She is a self-motivated, energetic, enthusiastic trainer via all mediums from face to face to live online delivery.  A strong people manager with the skills to engage and encourage people, Michelle is an honest and plain speaker who leads by example, living by values of challenge, excellence and transparency.
  • Michelle, a Masters graduate, maintains a fresh approach to Learning and Development in continuing her professional development by regularly and actively engaging with social media, webinars, industry events, and conferences as delegate, tweeter, blogger and speaker. Michelle also appears monthly on Learning Now TV and on a variety of podcasts.
  • A Fellow of the LPI and Chartered Member of CIPD, she is part of the CIPD L&D team, writing and delivering on several leadership CIPD programmes, including the award winning Level 5 L&D qualification.
  • Having worked in global organisations for many years, including living and working in Japan, as Global Head of L&D, and having delivered a variety of learning programmes all across Europe, Michelle is sensitive to the intricacies of cultural differences and working within them respectfully.
  • Michelle currently works with a wide variety of clients, from corporates, universities, small training providers and industry bodies. Her focus is always very practical, with a hands-on approach to creating effective, efficient, enjoyable and engaging workplace learning experiences with her clients that really impact on improving both the learning experience for employees and the productivity of those employees. Michelle works practically via audits, workshops, strategy days, on-going support, interim or contract roles and project management. She specialises in all things leadership, culture, and L&D.

  • Build your personal development plan


One week after the workshop: Individual Research Activity


Research on the subject of strategic management. Test some of your thinking against the models and ideas.  Record your research in the form of a short report, blog, or business magazine article that critically assesses factual points and outlines your opinion and point of view.


Two weeks after the workshop: Individual Reflective Activity

Make a short video / presentation / podcast / image / picture / drawing / animation to articulate your company strategy and what you will do differently with your team, customers or other relevant stakeholders as a result of this programme.


One month after the workshop: one hour Webinar

Delegates come together for a one hour live webinar to review the theory they have researched and discuss progress, as well as offering support and feedback to each other.
