A coaching strategy will help you grow and nurture your talent to become greater assets for your business. CIPD research shows that there’s still a lack of understanding about how best to use coaching, and in which situations it will be most effective.

This course will help you assess your team or organisation’s need for coaching, develop a coaching strategy, and cultivate a coaching culture that creates opportunities for people to grow through coaching initiatives. You’ll gain the skills and knowledge to analyse success as a result of coaching and use this to achieve ongoing high performance.

Mrs Katherine Ray

Katherine’s HR career spans 14 years. During that time she has held a number of senior HR Generalist and Talent Management positions working at all levels in dynamic and fast paced FMCG and Media organisations such as Diageo, Warner Bros, BSkyB and most recently Unilever. Katherine is now a consultant, trainer, facilitator and coach working for The OCM as well as having set up her own consultancy called Talentology Ltd in October 2014 to help organisations with their current and future people challenges. Her experience is wide ranging including all aspects of generalist HR but specifically Talent Management, Gender Diversity, Mentoring and Coaching.

During her time at Unilever Katherine designed the award winning Unilever Global Mentoring Programme aimed at helping high potential women gain promotions into senior leadership positions which has been featured in the Harvard Business Review in September 2010, Coaching at Work magazine in May 2012 and Management Today in November 2012. Whilst at Unilever Katherine worked as part of the Global Diversity Team looking at different initiatives to help achieve its aim of becoming more gender balanced organisation. Katherine went out to New York in March 2013 along with the Unilever CEO, CHRO, Global Diversity Lead to accept the Catalyst 2013 Award – a prestigious award recognising organisations initiatives to address gender diversity. 

Who is it for

This course is for HR and / or L&D professionals who are looking to develop and implement a coaching strategy in their organisation. You may be looking to develop a coaching culture in teams or across the whole organisation, or further develop coaching initiatives that are already in place.

This is a highly practical and interactive workshop where participants will develop their strategy, planning, business case and needs analysis in a coaching context.
