Course Tutors

Ms Elaine Heslop

Elaine Heslop is an experienced employment law practitioner. She has worked as a solicitor conducting employment law litigation for over twenty years and was also legal director of Islington Law Centre. She is currently employed part-time as a solicitor and senior lecturer at Kent Law Clinic within the University of Kent. She has experience of lecturing and training to a wide range of audiences, including practising lawyers, law graduates and undergraduates and HR practitioners. She lectures on the CIPD PGCEL course and is a PGCEL personal tutor. She is published by The Law Society in employment tribunal procedures and employment discrimination law, and by The Legal Action Group in legal advice skills.

Mrs Cas Carrington

Cas is a Partner with KLC Employment Law Consultants where she has headed up the employment law training department for 10 years. Cas develops, writes and delivers employment law training courses on a huge range of topics including the biannual CIPD ‘Law on Tour’ workshops. She teaches on many other CIPD law courses, including the Advanced Level Award in Employment Law, and also delivers training for CIPD In-Company clients. Bringing a very practical approach to her training, Cas is well known for her lively and informal style of explaining complex employment law issues. As well as being involved in training, Cas also has extensive experience of advising all types of organisations including charitable organisations, government departments, and blue chips on a wide range of employment law and employee relations issues.
