Please note, you will be asked to commit to some warm-up activities 2 weeks before the workshops on the virtual learning environment platform.


Workshop 1- Personal Effectiveness: this face-to-face workshop will help you to consider the purpose and value of your team in the wider business context. After the two days, you’ll have a clearer understanding of your own effectiveness as a manager, together with some vital new tools to support and engage your team more effectively.


Workshop 2 - Recruiting & Inducting: great managers appreciate the value of strong recruitment and induction. Over two days of face-to- face learning, you’ll learn key principles and techniques on both – and come away better equipped to identify, hire and engage the right people for your team.

 

Workshop 3 - Performance, Developing & Progressing: what does it take to bring the best out of everyone in your team? Discover the answers on a two‐day, face-to-face workshop offering new perspectives on performance management, continuous improvement, succession planning, embedding a learning culture and much more.


Final Webinar: the programme ends with an online session that brings your cohort together to review and reflect on your learning, as well as capture any final thoughts and questions.

 

What's involved?

Essential People Skills for Line Managers is a blended learning programme for people managers, delivered through a mix of workshops, interactive online activities, such as discussions, quizzes and videos, reflective practice and a final webinar. Plus, the programme uses a case study approach where you can safely practice your new skills and knowledge before applying it back into your workplace.

 

Over 12 weeks of highly practical learning, you’ll look into the critical skills, knowledge and behaviours that make a great line manager. Exploring your role at every stage of the employee lifecycle, you’ll come away with new tools to bring out the best in your team and drive better performance for your organisation.
